The VW Golf just lost it's #1 spot in Norwegian sales statistics to this, the Musk S. Wow, just wow. O.K. we have to take into consideration that in Norway petrol and diesel cars are made artificially expensive through taxation, and that EVs get tax breaks and incentives. AFAIK! But still, I don't think that those can fully close the gap between cars that cost € 20-30K and € 95K respectively over here.

Everyone knows all Norwegians are filthy rich, drunk whale murderers.

They give any sales figures on the Tesla?

I think it's sales figures from the state of Norway.

I meant number of units sold in Norway.
Edit: I found it. 616 units 55 better than the Golf.

Well you have to consider that the reason why it's the best selling car in Norway right now is because there hasn't been any deliveries before now. People have preordered over a longer period, and when all the preordered cars are delivered I guess it will sell about the same as a MB E-class, BMW 5-series and Audi A6 does (4-cylinder diesels). It's in that price range, but the Tesla offer more power, space and a good range.
But I have to admit that I see lots of them every day. I wonder when they will put more tax on the Tesla..

People here in Norway actually pay up to €13k more for a used model S than what the price for a new one is, so that they won't have to wait to get the car.. Pretty insane I'd say.
That said, there's a black P85+ parked outside my apartment right now (I see it on a daily basis) and it looks amazing.

See Hoccy's post. Maybe it's just a flash in the pan with all the pre-ordered cars hitting the market right now?

They give out information about what new cars are registered each month.
In September they registered 616 new Teslas. Second place was the Golf on 561, and then the Toyota Auris with 511.
They think that they can sell 2000 Teslas this year, and I see them popping up everywhere now..

Norway sounds like a really small car market if the best selling model is 616 cars in a month.
(A google search reveals a population of about 5 million, so now I understand.)
